Celemony's Melodyne Studio 5 is a powerful audio editing software that allows users to edit and manipulate monophonic audio data by adjusting musical and melodic characteristics. The program reads the original mono audio material, analyzes it, and presents the audio data as sections (samples) of this material scattered across the corresponding notes. Users can then take individual audio sections and raise/lower them on the note staff, which will affect the pitch. The program also allows users to change the duration of sound sections (time-stretch), as well as the formant composition, amplitude, and other characteristics. Melodyne Studio 5 supports up to 24 audio tracks simultaneously and features high-quality sound processing algorithms. The software is particularly useful for vocal correction. Note that Melodyne 5 does not support 32-bit, VST2, or ReWire, and V4 must be uninstalled before installing V5. No iLok driver installation is needed, and the software launches faster than the original version.
